Marcy Whitebrook’s Quotes:
“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter”. ---Martin Luther King Jr. This quote came from Dr. Whitebrook’s blog page.
The wisdom quote I chose was “The question of who will teach our children is as pressing at the preschool level, if not more so, than for older grades.” – Marcy Whitebook
Aisha Ray’s Quotes:
“The effects of a father’s participation or change of behavior on a child or family; or the ways in which these effects on fathers, children, families are threaded together to enable men to become positively involved with their children, mothers of their children and families in general”. Aisha Ray Ph.D.
“Families may view education as a vehicle for the future success of their children and hence may seek out early education program to help them gain a head start”. Aisha Ray Ph. D
The wisdom quote I chose from Aisha Ray was “Children have unequal childhoods.” Aisha Ray

The question of who will teach our children from birth is also a huge question. We need quality teachers on every level for every age group beginning at age zero. Thanks for that quote. It's a good one!
ReplyDeleteShuketa,
ReplyDeleteMy family viewed education as a vehicle for success; education is power. As a child growing up, my family did not qualify for the head start program; my grandmother stayed home with us when we were preschool age; she gave us the head start that we needed because she was our first teacher.
The quote form Aisha Ray “Children have unequal childhoods” is still true today. All children deserve and have the God given right to have equal childhoods; I pray someday that will become a reality.
